Certification Requirements and Best Practices
T-Mobile's requirements must be followed to pass testing. A certification test will verify that T-Mobile's requirements are met and if you have implemented any of T-Mobile's best practices. You can find the requirements and best practices, as well as some additional recommendations in the Mobile Application Handbook or Mobile Web Handbook.
T-Mobile also requires that you comply with the most current version of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) and CTIA-The Wireless Association® criteria described below. Note that there are a few instances when our requirements exceed these criteria (as in the case with mature content).
- MMA: Consumer Best Practices Guidelines for Mobile Content »
- CTIA: Wireless Carrier Content Classification and Internet Access Control Guidelines »
You need to become familiar with and follow the principles listed in the CTIA and MMA documents. These documents address areas like content, privacy, security and accessibility.
