T-Mobile has partnered with qualified providers to help streamline your testing and certification process.

For testing, you probably don't have access to every device all the time, and we want you to support as many devices as possible, so T-Mobile has partnered with DeviceAnywhere^®, to bring you the power of a Virtual Developer Lab right to your desktop. Rent lab time and test on as many devices as you need on real devices that are accessed from the comfort of your desk. 

For certification (required for you to be considered for inclusion in T-Mobile's t-zones^® storefront), You'll be given a helpful bug report and the certification tester will provide feedback to help you adjust your application.

Testing

If you have signed the T-Mobile Agreement you will have access to device loaners or you can utilize the Virtual Testing Lab services from Device Anywhere.

DeviceAnywhere’s technology employs real physical handsets replicating what a user can do with a device in his/her hand. In DeviceAnywhere, you can replicate pressing device buttons, tapping on touch screens, viewing the LCD, listening to ringers and speakers, and even hardware specific functions such as connecting/disconnecting the battery or opening/closing a handset. And, now, the T-Mobile VDL powered by DeviceAnywhere will allow developers to access pre-market handsets, in addition to commercially available devices and get an early start in bringing next generation mobile applications to market faster and more efficiently. Testing tip! T-Mobile devices with Wi-Fi connectivity may be able to significantly decrease your testing time due to the broadband speeds available. Even when connected to Wi-Fi, our devices can access our gateways in the same way as on GPRS, so you may be able to test your applications on the T-Mobile network faster than ever before!
